After a somewhat challenging attempt at directions we finally found the doctor’s offices, it is within a sorta small mall, not along where some of the other doctors’ offices are located!! So we found it, signed in and……..getting closer and closer to the point of no return, haha!!
I was given a form to complete that stopped just short of been asked for a blood and urine sample (but that was coming!). Of course I got about 5 questions into it and was called back by the nurse. She said for Jeanna to wait and that she’d be back to get her, I did NOT like that, but as soon as we reached our ‘destination’ to complete height, weight, BP etc, I realized why!! I thought my cube at work was small J , hers is TINY!!! So we went through all the questions and fun that one would assume is natural for an ‘INFERTILITY’ appointment, yup infertility, but that’s for another post!! The nurse was super friendly and there were pictures of her, her partner and their little girl – gave me warm fuzzies!!
After that fun she put me in a room to wait for the doc and then went and got Jeanna to come join me!! I must give Jeanna huge kudo’s this time she didn’t check out all the drawers and play with things……way to behave baby!!
The doctor came in, and I am glad to report that I really like her, she seems great, although kinda scatter brained but I think that’s why I relate to her haha!! Let’s just say the exam was a comedy of errors but it was really highly entertaining and all went well. She answered all the questions we had and then some.
Next steps are to track ovulation, confirm I ovulate, see a counselor (requirement of their practice before going ahead with the insemination process) and an internal ultra sound, yeah I can’t wait for that one. All of these steps will be complete by June 21st, then it’s onto choosing a sperm donor and moving forward with the insemination!! So close, but really still so far!!!
